About Dr Bryony
Dr Bryony Rous is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic. Her clinical focus is on the treatment and management of spinal and musculoskeletal health by maintaining their relationship with the nervous system. She is passionate about restoring function to the body as a whole biomechanical unit, thus helping to alleviate pain and improve the quality of life.
Her journey to Chiropractic started when she was in High School in Bloemfontein. A life changing event paved the road for her journey to University of Johannesburg’s School of Chiropractic. Here she completed her 6 year course and obtained her Master’s degree in Chiropractic. This journey has led her to be passionate about family and sports chiropractic.
Treatments
Spinal Adjustments
The adjustment is a safe procedure used to increase or restore mobility to an inflamed and restricted joint, with the intention of decreasing pain and improving overall well-being.
Joint Mobilisation
This a less invasive procedure that is used to restore or enhance joint function and mobility.
Myofascial Release
This therapy is used to decrease myofascial pain, increase blood flow and promote tissue healing.
Dry Needling
This procedure involves the insertion of thin acupuncture needles into the muscle tissue to increase blood flow, reduce pain and muscle spasm throughout the body. This procedure should not be confused with acupunture.
Dry Cupping
Dry cupping is an ancient therapy that is used to ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other issues. It uses suction to pull on the skin and increase blood flow to the affected area.
